I am a beginner at rowing, but I like this machine. It is very quiet, and the seat is comfortable.  It satisfies my requirements. It is also fairly lightweight, and easy to move. It is a great value for the money. I don't know how useful the Merach app will be with this machine however, so if you want an interactive experience, you might need a higher level machine.

This is the first rower I've ever used and I love it. They always looked fun and I don't have access to one to try so I decided to take a chance. I can't really compare quality but it's the most fun workout I've found. I don't really enjoy exercise and don't motivate myself well. The app makes it so easy though and it's free.

For a beginner (which I am as well as older), this is a good fit. The only reason I put a 4 rather than 5 on assembly is the scan code video is different from this model. It looks like the video is for an older model and is not accurate for this model. Use the booklet instructions.

Good Personal Rower

I'm extremely happy with this rowing machine! It was very easy to assemble, and the instructions were clear and straightforward. The build quality feels solid and durable.

The rowing motion is smooth and quiet, which makes it perfect for home workouts without disturbing anyone. I also love that it doesn't take up too much space and can be stored easily when not in use.

It gives a great full-body workout—I can really feel it in my legs, core, and arms after each session. The resistance levels are effective and suitable for both beginners and more advanced users.

Overall, this is an excellent value for the money. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay active at home!

Excellent

Good packaging. Quite easy to remove and lay out parts. Instructions were also very good. I'm a 71 year old man and I was able to assemble it by myself in about an hour. So far the machine works great. Has a nice fluid motion and is very quiet. Happy camper here.

Pleased with purchase so far.

Assembled easy .appears well made .priced decent .drum is smaller than picture but that doesn't matter . im pleased with the product .im 5 '10" it would handle a  basket ball player . i like and always buy magnetic resistant machines....rower/bikes  .friction ones get hot and just aren't good for serious users.  This passes and i recomend  specially if your on a budget .

Bang for your Buck

I am so glad I decided to order this rowing machine. The online reviews are great. Being a big guy of 6'2'' and 250lbs I was unsure on how this would be but this is perfect. The rowing machine is very silent. The 16 levels of resistance does the job. It is a great addition to my home gym. Given the fact that I could enjoy a nice deal on the price even versus other online retailer, I am more than satisfied with this purchase.

What a deal!

All parts present and well packaged. Assembly was smooth following instruction video. MERACH App connected to the rowing machine in a few seconds. Vertical storage is very convenient. First experience is good for a beginner. Overall happy with the purchase of MERACH Q1S - setup and pricing.

Good beginner rowing machine-easy setup and use

This is my first rowing machine for home gym, it's easy yo setup and use, been using it regularly without my issues. I machine automatically starts when pulling. But it does not automatically increases or decrease the strength of pull. I would not recommend for the persons above 220 pounds as one my cousin tried to use the machine and the bottom railing is touching the seat and scraping and we saw the scrapped material coming out of the bottom of the seat area. I am over 180 lb and feel awesome.

Good product

I have used this rower four times and each time after about 20 minutes of rowing on level 12 or above, there is a very strong burning smell coming from the front, resistance mechanism. 
Initially, I thought that the smell would dissipate, but it's actually getting stronger to the point that I have to open a window. 
I no longer feel like this rower is safe to use as it may pose a risk of fire and it's a huge bummer because I was quite excited about it initially. 
Will return and look for another option/brand.
