I am a beginner at rowing, but I like this machine. It is very quiet, and the seat is comfortable.  It satisfies my requirements. It is also fairly lightweight, and easy to move. It is a great value for the money. I don't know how useful the Merach app will be with this machine however, so if you want an interactive experience, you might need a higher level machine.

I am so glad I decided to order this rowing machine. The online reviews are great. Being a big guy of 6'2'' and 250lbs I was unsure on how this would be but this is perfect. The rowing machine is very silent. The 16 levels of resistance does the job. It is a great addition to my home gym. Given the fact that I could enjoy a nice deal on the price even versus other online retailer, I am more than satisfied with this purchase.

What a deal!

Assembled easy .appears well made .priced decent .drum is smaller than picture but that doesn't matter . im pleased with the product .im 5 '10" it would handle a  basket ball player . i like and always buy magnetic resistant machines....rower/bikes  .friction ones get hot and just aren't good for serious users.  This passes and i recomend  specially if your on a budget .

Bang for your Buck

Good packaging. Quite easy to remove and lay out parts. Instructions were also very good. I'm a 71 year old man and I was able to assemble it by myself in about an hour. So far the machine works great. Has a nice fluid motion and is very quiet. Happy camper here.

Pleased with purchase so far.

I compared the Merach with other brands, and I was very pleased with the features Merach has to offer. I live in a small apartment, and the streamline width and length of the machine  suits my needs. Instructions were easy to follow - very straightforward. The price is awesome compared to name brands. Overall, I am very happy with delivery, price, build time and ease of use. The machine is a dream to use - super quiet! I highly recommend this company, and Walmart's speedy delivery!

All parts present and well packaged. Assembly was smooth following instruction video. MERACH App connected to the rowing machine in a few seconds. Vertical storage is very convenient. First experience is good for a beginner. Overall happy with the purchase of MERACH Q1S - setup and pricing.

Good beginner rowing machine-easy setup and use

I love this Rowing Machine!  Easy to assemble, super quiet when in use and just rolls into a corner if I need it out of the way.  I am a Personal Trainer and a Fitness Instructor and I would recommend this to a beginner and even a long time exerciser.  The levels of resistance go from 1 (easy) to 13 (hard) and everything in between.  I am so happy with my purchase!

Good Quality

My 13 year old put this together themselves so not too difficult. so far we've only had it a week but seems to work well. this is our first rower so I'm not the best reviewer. but I can say that my butt fits on the seat despite said butt being a little bigger than I'd like (hence this machine). And it's easy to use. And does work the muscles. so if you're looking for a first time machine this one seems reasonable. I'll update should I have more to add as we use it more!

So far ...

I have used this rower four times and each time after about 20 minutes of rowing on level 12 or above, there is a very strong burning smell coming from the front, resistance mechanism. 
Initially, I thought that the smell would dissipate, but it's actually getting stronger to the point that I have to open a window. 
I no longer feel like this rower is safe to use as it may pose a risk of fire and it's a huge bummer because I was quite excited about it initially. 
Will return and look for another option/brand.
