I compared the Merach with other brands, and I was very pleased with the features Merach has to offer. I live in a small apartment, and the streamline width and length of the machine  suits my needs. Instructions were easy to follow - very straightforward. The price is awesome compared to name brands. Overall, I am very happy with delivery, price, build time and ease of use. The machine is a dream to use - super quiet! I highly recommend this company, and Walmart's speedy delivery!

Excellent choice!

I am so glad I decided to order this rowing machine. The online reviews are great. Being a big guy of 6'2'' and 250lbs I was unsure on how this would be but this is perfect. The rowing machine is very silent. The 16 levels of resistance does the job. It is a great addition to my home gym. Given the fact that I could enjoy a nice deal on the price even versus other online retailer, I am more than satisfied with this purchase.

What a deal!

Good packaging. Quite easy to remove and lay out parts. Instructions were also very good. I'm a 71 year old man and I was able to assemble it by myself in about an hour. So far the machine works great. Has a nice fluid motion and is very quiet. Happy camper here.

Pleased with purchase so far.

Assembled easy .appears well made .priced decent .drum is smaller than picture but that doesn't matter . im pleased with the product .im 5 '10" it would handle a  basket ball player . i like and always buy magnetic resistant machines....rower/bikes  .friction ones get hot and just aren't good for serious users.  This passes and i recomend  specially if your on a budget .

Bang for your Buck

So far, I would say this was a great choice. I like that it occupies a small space, is sturdy, easy to set-up and use. You feel the workout in your muscles within 3 minutes of use.

Great Exercise Machine

We've had it for just like a week. So far, so good. We've got the Pro and although is pretty good, the description wasn't very clear. It need AC power, so the control wheel can work, which may be inconvenient for some people

Quiet, good with the app

Surprisingly good quality product for price- fit and function were very good and so it was very easy to put together.  Smooth operation and very quiet- easily stored after use.

I'm extremely happy with this rowing machine! It was very easy to assemble, and the instructions were clear and straightforward. The build quality feels solid and durable.

The rowing motion is smooth and quiet, which makes it perfect for home workouts without disturbing anyone. I also love that it doesn't take up too much space and can be stored easily when not in use.

It gives a great full-body workout—I can really feel it in my legs, core, and arms after each session. The resistance levels are effective and suitable for both beginners and more advanced users.

Overall, this is an excellent value for the money. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay active at home!

The Merach Q1S (Smart Electromagnetic) is an excellent value-for-money rowing machine ($259 before taxes in July 2025) for home workouts, especially given its compact size. It performs as advertised, though there are a few minor drawbacks. The product finish is visibly mediocre, and while assembly is easy, the instructions don't perfectly match the product model. Additionally, the accompanying app isn't the most user-friendly. However, the on-machine screen functionality is great.

Merach Q1S: Good Value, Minor Flaws

I have used this rower four times and each time after about 20 minutes of rowing on level 12 or above, there is a very strong burning smell coming from the front, resistance mechanism. 
Initially, I thought that the smell would dissipate, but it's actually getting stronger to the point that I have to open a window. 
I no longer feel like this rower is safe to use as it may pose a risk of fire and it's a huge bummer because I was quite excited about it initially. 
Will return and look for another option/brand.
