I really loved my bookshelves. I used them to display my 1:18 scale diecast collection. Unfortunately they were only up for about 5 months due to my basement flooding severely during a storm which broke my heart. I would love to replace them when my basement is all fixed and would also like to find a solution to make them floating shelves up off the floor so if it floods again I won't lose them again. Thank you.

Assembly for this was super easy we bought the product to utilize for our business so we can have a little extra storage space. The easily adjustable boards allow extra space for the shelves in whatever manner you need. Instructions were simple,  and the placement holes and pegs are easy to shift when it’s time to change your shelf sizes!

Great item, great price

These shelves are exceptional.  They are really a great value for the money. I've purchased other items that need to be assembled in the past. These are exceptional, the directions are clear, the parts line up perfectly. The video is just step by step correct and easy to understand. The quality is truly exceptional for the price. Are they solid oak quality no, but they are several hundred dollars cheaper.  They look much more expensive than they are. No one would know I got them for such a great price. For they money I don't think you will fine any thing comparable.

These are better than I expected.

I used this shelf in my closet to hold my sweatshirts. It fit perfectly in the space.  I wouldn’t put a lot of weight on it. It’s not a very heavy or stable piece of furniture but it was perfect for my needs. Putting the shelf in a corner against the wall helped.

As an aphid breeder, I have always had bookshelves. I had some cube stands that I had had stacked together. When I moved from my other house, they weren’t in the greatest of conditions so I needed to buy something at a reasonable price because I have hundreds of books. So I did shop around and this one seemed like the best value for my money, it is very sturdy. I was able to get it in white or black so I went ahead and got the white one that way it would match the other cube I have. I would definitely recommend this product.

Great Value for the price

The Mainstays 5‑Shelf Bookcase with Adjustable Shelves is a very budget‑friendly, lightweight MDF bookcase that looks clean and works well for light–moderate storage, but it's not built for heavy loads or long‑term durability. For the price, it's genuinely solid just expect basic construction and take your time during assemble.

Back panel is thin, must be nailed carefully to avoid bowing.
Expect 45 to 60 minutes to assemble.

Good bang for the buck,

They work well for what you pay for. Not going to say they are the most fancy or high quality but ours are packed and they have held up well past 6 months. The shelves are adjustable which is nice because you can create different sized spaces between the shelves if you want.

Good value for the money, have held up

Only issue is if you are trying to use multiple units next to each other they are all exactly the same dimensions. For the value I plan to mask the difference by applying some trim to cover the gaps.

These are not the greatest book shelves. Broke part of a board just putting it together. I got 2 and one didn't come with the directions and one did. These are not hard to put together. I got them to use for DVDs so I'm not sure how they hold up to books or anything else.

You get what you pay for

Both came damaged - though not aware until it was partially put together. Exchange/refund refused as product was opened and half assembled. 
I realize it is inexpensive and wasn’t expecting overly high quality, but certainly shouldn’t be damaged and require paint and extra materials to appear or function as intended.
