I am in agreement with other posts that I'm reading about this eyeliner.  I love the fact that this eyeliner stays in place and doesn't melt during the day.  The challenge is trying to successfully sharpen the pencil.  I purchased the suggested Maybelline sharpener and I still cannot successfully sharpen this eyeliner.

The product is so great. Very pigmented and long lasting. But you can't sharpen it! I got the white one, and the plastic casing matches the product, so when you sharpen it, if there's a jagged plastic piece, you can't see and can easily hurt yourself. Why would they make it plastic if they want it to be sharpened? Just make it a twist up. The product is very soft and easily smushed. Putting this in a sharpener just makes a mess.

I tried three different sharpeners, Maybelline included. The PLASTIC PENCIL makes it impossible to sharpen and used this pencil more than 2 or 3 times before you have to discard

Waste of money

Most of this pencil went into the sharpener! I think I got to use it maybe twice! Otherwise, you just sharpen it and then the plastic stabs you in the eye so that you have to keep sharpening it until it just disappears into the sharp sharpener! It's a waste of money I would never ever buy again.

Horrible. Waste of money!

A few months back I bought the maybelline tattoo studio gel eyeliner. It is one of the worst eyeliners I've used. It's hard. It's too light you really can't see it unless you press down hard. It doesn't come with the sharpener, breaks easily and it's loose. Absolutely terrible. Will never buy eyeliner from you guys that's how disappointed I am with you guys. Sorry for the rant, but it really is the truth.

Absolutely terrible

I was so excited when I found this gorgeous teal color and I made the purchase. Well, this is the LAST time I buy an eye pencil by Maybelline. Reviews are spot on - This is a very poorly manufactured item. The tip broke off on the very first use and I wasn't even applying any pressure! This is ridiculous and not what I would expect from an American company. I will avoid this brand at all costs now.

Awful! Tip broke off immediately - can't resharpen

Looks good on skin but impossible to use after it flattens. The ONLY way to get more product out of the applicator is to sharpen the plastic which leads to either A) dangerously pointy sharp plastic edges that are unsafe for using on the eye or B) the gel eyeliner breaking off completely. It's not self sharpening, so there's no way of twisting up or pushing out the gel. I'm so upset about this waste of money. The worst design for eyeliner I've ever seen, much less used.

TERRIBLE Packaging Design

I bought your tattoo studio gel eye liner. Loved it. Was so easy to use. Then the point was gone. So I sharpened it, what a mess. It will not sharpen. When you get to a point you think you have it, the tip comes off. Now what do I do. What a waste of money. I got about a 1.00 worth out of it. Would you like to send me a 8 of them to get my monies worth.

Not good

This item should be sold with the special sharpener. If you try ones designed for large art crayon, it will not work, because the outside PLASTIC is extremely hard, while the makeup core is very soft. So as you sharpen the outside with great difficulty, the inside gets completely smashed. This is basically a scam product, only good for a couple of uses.
