I use this product as part of a dental care program recommended by Ellie Phillips, DDS.  Xylitol is a major part of this program, and I prefer using this form of xylitol over the xylitol mints or gum; the crystal form is more economical.  I've used this product for several years.  I suggest folks look up Dr. Ellie's you tube channel or check out one of her books at their local public library.  Her program has saved me thousands of dollars I'd have had to spend at my dentist's office and has my saved teeth and gums, literally.

Xylitol is great to have around the home.  Its unique properties provide benefits in DIY preparations for oral health, gargle mixes, nasal lavage, etc.   Other uses take advantage of its properties as a  low-glycemic sugar substitute.

In bulk quantities like this, the price per ounce of this product is a fraction of what you would pay in a health food retailer.

NOW foods is a reputable manufacturer, and I have found the quality and dissolvability to be good.  The raw material for this brand of xylitol is corn cobs.   There are other manufacturers that utilize birch wood, sugarcane fibrous waste, and other plant/wood byproducts.

very good substitute for those looking to cut sugar from their diet.  it tastes almost EXACTLY like sugar, measures EXACTLY like sugar. pricey but worth it.

I use this as a way to make xylitol mouthwash for keeping teeth from tartaring and needing cleaning. So far it seems to work well for that. I took an old mouthwash bottle, rinsed it out, and with a funnel filled it about 3/4" full with xylitol crystals and the rest water. I shook it up and that's my new after brushing dental wash.

Sweet choice

I bought this for my teeth. It is good for making your own toothpaste with coconut or olive oil. It is also good in small amounts in smoothies

its does not make things taste odd or nasty its not very sweet but since i saw that its good for digestion and teeth thats the best part i think it worth buying its just somewhat costly and its like crystals so theyre harder to desolve then other sweetners
