I have used NB shoes for years and recently purchased this model because of the material used at the top of the toe area. This material promises to last longer than the mesh on my other NB shoes which has worn through after a short time of use.  These shoes are comfortable, offer great support for my 2.5 mile walks, and are also attractive. I have ordered another pair as a backup.

608v5 trainers

New Balance US

As the title said, I bought a pair of Newbalance 608 to replace my well worn #608s. I've had good service from this NB model. Also, the price was acceptable. I buy NB shoes because they're available in wider widths. NewBalance is a 'name' and they have always been known for quality.

REPLACING OLD 608 WITH NEW INES

Got a pair for my dad as a gift, they are really swag and heckin comfy and stuff. He likes the grey after wearing white for so long and wears them almost exclusively. These shoes will be used to their fullest potential and be hailed as a successful christmas gift for at least half a generation.

Excellent gift

I've ordered 608's for a while. They are nicely constructed,  very comfortable shoes. They last a long time, I order a pair per year. When the nice shoes come, the old pair are still worn around the house and to the gym. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants good shoes for a fair price.

Good Walking Shoes

This is my go-to shoe model but the top of the left shoe made a cupping sound as it popped back to shape during a step. This was pretty obnoxious but I was able to end that sound by bending the top of the shoe and breaking it in. I had never experienced that with the many pairs of this model I have worn.

My go-to yet it squeaks

Stylish shoes, my dogs were BARKING those first 4 days of breaking them in. They are easy to clean when they get dirty and they keep my feet dry when cleaning floors and doing dishes. They did get comfortable after finally breaking them in. At first it feels like there's no arch support but the insoles form to the shape of your feet. They are holding up pretty well after about 3 weeks of wearing them everyday for work. They also add about an inch of height which is is cool too.

Good Shoes

The shoe is OK but what it's lacking is enough support to handle the stress of a real work shoe especially in the restaurant industry. 
This nonslip 608  shoe just falls short of what the 857 nonslip provides in extra support and durability.
 Unfortunately New Balance discontinued the 857 without having a replacement ready to go. Very disappointing as now I'm forced to buy a cheaper shoe that offers less support and that will need replacing 2x as fast!

Phased into the cheaper Non-Slip!

I have used new balance for years and have had usually a good experience. This by far is the worst i have ever bought.
This shoe was bought for a work shoe.Because of the inconsistent heel to toe weight distribution, they are unwearable. I will look at other brands.I could not recommend this shoe!

THE N IS FOR NO BALANCE!

Within a week these shoes gave me blisters on my feet. The cushioning is non existent the bones in my  feet ached so bad I  was moaning in pain. No support at all!  I don't know if I got a bad pair or what. I usually like New Balance shoes but these I wouldnt buy.

Horrible shoes!

After wearing this model and size for twenty years this pair did not fit? They appeared to be a cheap version of the NB I knew.

What Happened to the NB I knew?
