I brought this bookcase to use as a self in my closet, I received it damage, but for what I am using it for it will not matter. I added a photo of the damage area. Nice bookcase but when it comes to shipping of the product, it just gets thrown around or it was damage before it left the manufacturer. Either way they need to add more foam in the packaging to protect the bookcase.

For a Walmart piece and the price I think it's a gorgeous piece. Only reason why I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is because when building it, there were not holes where the directions were so I had to use my neighbors drill to make my own.  Im sure that was a fluke !

Overall good bookcase - assembly is easy, it is sturdy, and it looks exactly like the pictures. Two minor things: 1) I had a bit of difficulty attaching the bottom front molding as the handle of my screwdriver was thicker than the height of the screw hole, so I couldnt keep the screwdriver perfectly aligned. Attaching the angle brackets to the molding first would have avoided this. 2) the top front molding is slightly misaligned, so there is a gap when viewed from the side.
Also be prepared for bits of styrofoam packing to statically stick for a while.

It is a nice, sturdy shelf. It was easy to put together. Looks exactly as it does in the picture. Very happy with this purchase!

Great looking. It was purchased to add storage to closet but because it looks so great we pulled it out to show off! Definite worth the price and more! Easy to assemble.

This salt oak bookcase matches perfectly with my Sauder desk & cabinet. The size is perfect for the small area I have in the room & it looks absolutely beautiful. The finishing touch the room needed!!

Perfect 2 Shelf Bookcase

This is the second Sauder 2-shelf bookcase I have ordered from Wal-Mart online. I ordered the first one hoping it would be what I wanted and would be as pictured . It was and am looking forward to the second one to complete the console for in my living room. The bookcase was assembled at Wal-Mart at no cost to me. That in itself helped me make my decision to purchase it from Wal-Mart.

This is pretty good furniture.  It is not fine furniture.  It is particle pressed MDF board that has a laminate top. Having said that it works for a short time and for the price.  Take your time putting it together.  The peices don't always line up precisely.  Like I said, the is not fine furniture.  You may even have to use a furniture maker later to enhance scuff marks.  It's work the money but anymore than that.  You may as well go to a furniture store.  Walmart was quick and efficient I there delivery as all.

This pretty good!

I bought these low bookshelves for my husband's upstairs office which is a converted attic that has a sloped ceiling and low walls.  Where the ceiling meets the wall the wall height is only 32" these bookshelves fit perfectly against those walls.  They were easy to assemble, look nice, and are sturdy enough to hold all of his books.  He liked the oiled oak color which also compliments the existing oak trim.
