Excellent value, easy assembly, and looks as nice as similar products for twice the price. Ordering online was easy and shipping was free. The finish is a little darker cherry than I expected, but the color still works with my lighter cherry pieces. We were looking for a bookcase that wasn't overpowering in size. The height, depth, and width on this one is perfect for our smaller room size. Highly recommend.

This is the second Sauder 2-shelf bookcase I have ordered from Wal-Mart online. I ordered the first one hoping it would be what I wanted and would be as pictured . It was and am looking forward to the second one to complete the console for in my living room. The bookcase was assembled at Wal-Mart at no cost to me. That in itself helped me make my decision to purchase it from Wal-Mart.

We were looking for a small bookcase for our guest room, but not looking to spend much money. I have bought and used Sauder furniture in the past, so when I saw this Sauder bookcase I thought I would give it a try. It is a great looking bookcase for the price, and it does what it's suppose too. Great finish, holds a good amount of books, and does not look cheap.

Quality bookcase for the price.

I am using this in my craft room for books & stuff. I ordered two, they fit nicely side by side without a gap. The price was great but one arrived with a damaged top. I had read the reviews and one customer contacted the company and was shipped the replacement parts for the damaged items. I did the same and with one e-mail I quickly received a new top undamaged in about 5 days. Great customer service. I ordered the cherry and it is a nice medium brown without much red, true to the color on the website. Although I would not consider these fine furniture, they are sturdy, easy to build, look nice and will serve my needs perfectly. Couldn't ask for more for the price great value

Overall great for the price and good service

I just opened a counseling practice and needed a small bookcase. I saw this and decided it would be adequate. It turned out to be more than adequate. Weight give it a very solid feel. Has very professional look. Most of all. . . It was easy to put together.

Great look for a great price

This is pretty good furniture.  It is not fine furniture.  It is particle pressed MDF board that has a laminate top. Having said that it works for a short time and for the price.  Take your time putting it together.  The peices don't always line up precisely.  Like I said, the is not fine furniture.  You may even have to use a furniture maker later to enhance scuff marks.  It's work the money but anymore than that.  You may as well go to a furniture store.  Walmart was quick and efficient I there delivery as all.

This pretty good!

The unit came packaged and was very well protected and had no damage. The unit was easy to assemble and looks very good. My only complaint was that I was missing one shelf pin and you could see the some of edges where two surfaces met (dark finish contrasted with particle board color) (reason for 4 stars vs 5 stars). I called the manufacturer and they sent me a replacement shelf pin and also sent me a touch up finish marker even though I did not ask for that. Overall, it is a very good value and half the cost of similar bookcases. It is also very sturdy. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there is clearance for binders on both shelves. I was prepared for being able to only fit binders on one of the surfaces. I would buy this again and had excellent customer service.

Sauder 2-Shelf Bookcase

this bookcase came very quickly to my house. the instructions were easy to read and the assembly was pretty quick. although i can't use it for all my albums, which is what i purchased it to hold, the bottom row does hold most of them. because of the trim piece at the top, i was unable to stand a second group of lps on the top shelf. it is a very handsome piece of furniture.

easy and quick to assemble

I gave this product 3 stars because the directions were incorrect. You must put the side moldings on before attaching the top. We attached the top first, as directed by the instructions,  and the moldings could not be slid on that way so we had to detach the top and pull nails out of the backing before we could get the moldings on. It was a pain but we got it done. Otherwise this is a nice looking piece of furniture, and very sturdy for the price. Perfect for my sons playroom.

Heavy, sturdy, good looking

I brought this bookcase to use as a self in my closet, I received it damage, but for what I am using it for it will not matter. I added a photo of the damage area. Nice bookcase but when it comes to shipping of the product, it just gets thrown around or it was damage before it left the manufacturer. Either way they need to add more foam in the packaging to protect the bookcase.
