Very sturdy desk! Looks exactly as pictured. This did take a few hours to assemble by myself but was well worth it! The desk is very heavy and I was barely able to get the box into my house but it does feel like great quality! Instructions were clear and easy to follow. I would recommend!

I just set up the desk a couple days ago and so far I really enjoy it. The box is *extremely* heavy and a minimum of two very strong individuals are needed to bring it in. In regards to assembly, I was able to put it all together by myself but having another set of hands would have made things a bit easier.

Review for the actual product: very solid and sturdier than I expected! The desk isn't *real* wood but instead has a plastic-like wood-pattern finish. I actually prefer this because it makes the surfaces so much smoother. I was concerned the desk might be too big based on the pictures but the size feels just right! The only negative thing I can say is that the book shelf is more shallow than I anticipated -- it is about the width of a notebook. It can definitely support wider objects like textbooks as long as you don't mind them hanging over the shelf a little bit.  Overall I am very satisfied with the product considering the price. Would recommend.

Very Sturdy Desk

At age 65 it was a little hard for me to put together, with that said I just love my desk. If at age 65 I could put this together anyone can do it. The instructions were very good and it went together very well. So in a nut shell I love it and its very strong and sturdy.

Love it! It was easy to put together for having so many pieces and it is so sturdy and the perfect size for my home office. It looks like its worth much more. Amazing money spent.

Couldn't be happier.

I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase. It's elegant, yet functional.  Beautifully designed and looks more expensive than it was. If you're on the fence, don't be, BUY it, you won't be disappointed!

Home office desk

My husband built the desk last night. It took a long time (3-4 hours) but we didn't have any big issues, other than some parts were missing stickers so we had to guess. I was worried about something arriving damaged from other reviews on here but it was delivered to my house safely. The package was super heavy and required two people with strong backs to carry it in. The desk is sturdy and fits my needs perfectly. My only complaint is the desktop. The veneer at the side seams sticks out and chafes my wrists when typing. The part has already split a bit and is showing a little wear 1 day in. I'm really happy with the desk otherwise.

Nice sturdy desk for the price

This says it is solid wood. It is particle board with a wood look laminate over. Although it is a very good imitation once together and is solid and of good quality. I am satisfied with the purchase as the price point is good for the product quality. The top came in cracked but Sauder was excellent about getting a new one shipped to me immediately that same week.
This is a great value and is a very nice contemporary look. It was not too difficult too difficult to put together but do set aside a couple of hours and a quite place. Once you put it together, you will not want to move it as it is heavy and awkward so build it where it goes!
I really like the way a computer and accessories have neat little tuck away areas for dangling cords. Very neat!
Wish they had this same desk in a solid wood but it would probably be close to $2000-$3000 for the same thing in solid maple!
Overall, I love it!

Nice Looking and Solid

After desk was finished being put together it turned out to be very sturdy and looks great. Only issue was how hard and confusing it was to put together. Pretty much took all day with 2 people.

Good sturdy desk. Does take a lot of time to put together. Felt bad giving to my son along with hours of assembly. He really does like the desk after initial set up.

Good desk

I bought mine online and had home delivery. I read a lot of reviews here for furniture ordered online and home delivered that their boxes arrived in bad condition thereby damaging some parts. It's the same case for me. The box that came with the parts is not so big but it is heavy. You need two people to haul in the trunk and with folded backseat I believe it will fit in a car if you plan to buy it online and pick it up at the store to avoid delays with ordering replacements for damage parts. I have not assembled mine yet but the manual is pretty easy to follow. If you do it alone you'll probably be done in half a day and you don't need powertools to assemble it. Also, the material of this product is like shredded wood but made like compact it's not hard wood in case you want to know. I'm not sure if it's sturdy enough now I see how the top board cracked with the delivery. I will recommend it to friends only if the parts came intact and not damaged.
