Good shelf for the price point. The wood is plywood but solid. Good for organizing books and toys . I wouldn't put anything heavy on it.

these are my favorite storage units. easy to put together and long lasting even with teenagers.

Cute and sturdy

Particle board.  Directions weren't awful but I did mar it some assembling it. It's very cheaply made but looks decent.  I doubt it would make it through a move.

Very cheaply made and not straight once you put it together with the confusing instructions. The chintzy back panels that are provided to nail into the back of 5 shelves are impossible to line up properly. Can only use 3 to 4 nails to attach them instead of the 8 that are indicated. Because they’re so off centre, there’s nothing  to nail the panels into if you’re trying to use more than 3 or 4 nails. You can actually see corners sticking out once everything is assembled. So the whole unit lists a bit sideways. I should have known there would be a problem when it was recommended that the unit be nailed to the wall! The shelves are wide enough that this should not be necessary. Once it’s together and you can semi-hide it behind a chair or something, it more or less serves the purpose. But I certainly wouldn’t recommend it.

Poor quality

Thinnest particle board ever made. Held together mainly by hard plastic dowels, into oversized holes.

I wasn't expecting Stickly, but I believe if I walk to fast by it will blow over!

Heavy but flimsy at the same time.
