Great for my Living Room

I live in a small condo with plaster walls that don't hold heat well and with heating/Ac wall units. I use the wall unit to set a temp and then the dyson to maintain a comfortable temp. Works well and it is not loud. If you put the flow above 5, yes it's louder but nothing compared to my wall units. Super happy.

Great All-in-one!

Moved out to a basement bachelor apartment and was feeling very cold. I also wanted a purifier because I owned a cat, and when I cook I don't like the smell to linger around inside. Wanted an all-in-one solution and looked at the new HP07. My experience with it so far has been great! It heats up the basement quite nicely as well as keeping the air clean and with no food smells! The screen is also very helpful at keeping track of your fan speed, temperature setting and air quality. The app is also fantastic and very easy to use, it allows you to point the fan in whichever direction you want instead of pressing the oscillate button, waiting for it to rotate where you are and pressing again. Setting schedules on the app for it to turn on before I get home is also very useful! The only problem I seem to have with it is that the current temperature displayed is not correct to how it actually feels in the basement. But that could be because the room is larger than normal... Either way it works great! Would recommend this to a friend!

A good product

Nice piece of engineered equipment for our residence. Electronics and the app keeps me informed of the quality of air we are breathing...kind of fascinating and informative. The unit heats a large area with the help of a ceiling fan. I would absolutely recommend this product.

Does not clean the air from pet smells

I bought this a year ago and I have bought additional air purifiers to make up for the lack of cleaning that this purifier does. I am disappointed with the cleaning quality. The space heater works very well, but the cooling is just a fan and I still needed an AC unit to cool the room. I wish I would have just bought a regular dyson & not this version.

We're sorry to learn that you've found the level of purification the Purifier Hot+Cool™ HP07 provides to not be sufficient for your environment. With regard to cooling off your space, our purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air. Really a good investment

After using an older heat/cool for years it was time to upgrade. We decided to go with this pure heat. It has been a couple of weeks we already notice a difference in our air quality which was amazing to us the results. Looking forward to using the heat this winter. I do have high expectations for this winter. Con. The app due to regulations you can't control the heat. Very small issue but would be nice if I could control heat via app.

Good machine, but UL 1278 ruins it

I recently added solar to my roof, and I thought this machine would be a good way to leverage renewable energy for heating my home in the winter. Unfortunately, the UL regulators made doing that much more difficult than necessary. 1. The app does not display the set temp for the heater. Neither does the remote. The only way to see what the temp the machine is set for is to get up, walk over to the machine, stoop down, and read it from the on-machine display. If the machine is oscillating, you have to wait until the display is facing you. And sometimes you even have to scroll through the displays on the machine to get to the one that displays the set temp. 2. Turning the machine on via the app turns heat mode off. 3. Using the 'schedule' function, which is only available via the app, also turns heat mode off, which makes the schedule function useless. 4. Changing the airflow direction using the app also turns off heat mode. If UL had it's way, matches would be illegal (because they can start a house fire), and knives would be illegal (because they can be used to hurt someone) Come on Dyson, at least fix #1. PLEASE!!

This is why the heating and temperature controls have been disabled via the Dyson Link app, at this time. We are certainly sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused for you. The heating, as well as all other functions can still be carried out via remote control. While unfortunate, we do have to comply as this is a federal regulation. Amazing device, but it whines loudly

I really love my Dyson hot+cool air purifier and the app to control the device is amazing. My biggest complaint is that the device often starts whining at a very high pitch a few times a day. It is very loud and noticeable. I've followed Dyson support articles which basically instruct you to unplug the device, and wait several minutes before attempting to power the device back on. While this usually works, it happens very very frequently.

We would not expect the unit to make any type of whining or other noise, outside of the normal airflow sounds. Having said that, a whine can be caused by several factors; the Filter(s) blocked and/or unseated, the outer shell misaligned and/or the loop amplifier being damaged, unseated or blocked. Other factors could also contribute to this, such as if the machine has ever been dropped or carried by the loop amplifier. United States Users Should Know This

If you're in the United States, you won't be able to control the heating feature of this unit via the phone App. Not Dyson's fault, it a U.S. law they must abide by (Safety Standard UL 1287). Dyson should however make it clear that U.S. users can't control the heating feature from the App. Users can turn off heat in the app, but they can't turn it on or control the set temp from the App. The App does depict when the heat feature is turned on. Dyson website images show an App screen with a temperature control, right next to fan speed control, but U.S. users will not see that control in their App. The unit and App function well beyond that pain point. It's slightly noisier that expected and when in heat mode, the fan will never turn completely off, running at a very low speed once set temp is reached. Presumably this is to continually sample the air temp in order to turn back on once more heat is necessary. It would be a nice option if, when the heat cycled off, the unit switched into plain air scrubbing mode instead of shutting all airflow and oscillation down until the temp drops enough to turn on the heat again. Overall build quality is very good and worth the price. Setup and connecting to your home's WiFi is very easy. And the App functionality and reliability are excellent. As smart home products go, Dyson products are one of the best. But if you wanted to schedule the unit to turn on the the AM to heat up a cold room before you woke up, that's not possible with this unit if you're in the United States.

Horrible Quality - Not What I'd Expect From Dyson

I've had very bad luck with this product. The first unit I received came broken. It only heated from one side. Customer service was very good and it was very easy to return the broken unit and get a new one quickly shipped to me. After just a week of use, the on/off button on the device is now broken. It does do a good job heating my room, better than other room heaters I have tried, but the quality control on this product is bad I'm going to return it and move on to a different brand. I'm surprised, as I've been a loyal user of Dyson vacuums for many years, and they are rock solid reliable.
