Why on Earth did Phillips stop supplying the 'triple track' heads on their mid-range shavers? These single track heads are only suitable for the low-end shaver. I have fitted HQ9 heads onto the 3000 and the difference in time & closeness is quite noticeable. Please Phillips - go back the the HQ9 heads for your mid-range shavers.

My old German electric shaver was getting too old and I was feeling it in my skin. After much thought I decided to jump ship and try out Philips. I must say the first encounter was a little discouraging. At times it seemed to pull the skin and I was about to return it. Then I literally followed the instructions and shaved in circular motions. It worked. It gave a closer and smoother shave. And it was so quiet! It certainly helps savour the moment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Old lift and cut shaver much better. Did not have to go over and over same area. I do not use wet shaves, therefore no need for this feature. Would like to replace blades with lift and cut blades if possible.

I have had a Philips electric shaver previously but this one is so much easier to use. Shaves quicker and closer irrespective of the length of my stubble/ beard. I have only used the dry shave option at the moment. Would love to see try the 9000 model and see how improved it is.

I bought the newest one because I left my older one at home while on a trip. I'm glad I forgot it because the new one I bought was suprisingly low in cost but high in quality. I can always count on my Philips shavers for reliability and a smooth shave. I especially like the wet shave feature! Talk about a smooth shave! I really don't see any reason to ever switch to another brand or model. Philips Norelco does the best job I could ever imagine. Thank you for years of making a great product for such a fair price.

Traditional design that I have used from Philips for many many years. This latest version continues with the same design features that just work. I have used more futuristic designs from Philips in the past but reverted to this trusted model and don't regret it. An excellent purchase.

This razor is the least effective I have ever had in 50 years of shaving. Seems very low powered - so much so, that I left it to go totally flat by leaving IT POWERED UP ON MY BEDSIDE CABINET,TO THEN FULLY CHARGE IT. No real improvement/ surprisingly it also caused a redness on my face when first used. My Braun razors are far superior in power and effect!!

After having Philips shavers for 57 years was disappointed with my last one also a 3000 series. Previous shavers gave years of good service until eventually the rechargeable battery failed. My previous 3000 series no longer gave a shave after 3 years. Failure of the cutting heads, looked on Philips website to buy new cutting heads. Only to find, out of stock! Only option to buy a new replacement 3000 series shaver. Let's hope this time the cutting heads are made of better stuff.. Fingers crossed!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For over 40 years I have used other Phillips Electric shavers, last one lasted 20 years, when it died, (I dropped it and the case broke) I ordered the 3600 with the fear that the new ones would not be as good. I was impressed and happy, it is much better and have a closer shave. Thank you !!!

Mr David does not use a computer. I bought this shaver as a present for Christmas and it is a hit. Mr David who is in his eighties is enjoying using his new easy to use Wet for Dry electric shaver. Any one looking for a gift for an older person this shaver is great. JG
