Dumbbells from Walmart

All the parts were oily when they arrived so I had to clean them individually, but other than that they are great and they all look great. I'm so happy I pulled the trigger and bought these.

Worth the money

This is one of the best dumbbell brands I use.  I have a collection now and enjoy the sturdiness and quality of these dumbbells.  

Price is a little high, but Walmart does have the best pricing compared to other companies.

Good quality and comfortable grip

CAP dumbbells in general are good value. The quality is just mediocre and it can have a strong rubber VOC smell so it has to be off-gassed for a week or so in warm weather. It's not fancy but it works as well as other brands 2 or 3 times the price.

Not fancy but does the job

It weighs 70lb so it is what it is. But after 50lb they could improve grip. The outer smooth surface is not great when you’re curling or doing hammer curls.

It’ll do

I have other cap dumbbells that don’t stink but this one absolutely reeks. I keep my dumbbells in my bathroom and workout in there before I shower in the morning. I’m not kidding when I say that this single dumbbell stinks up the entire room with a toxic rubber smell. Not cool

Stinky stinky

One of the 40pounds dumbbells came out damaged.    You can see it clearly on the picture I took right after I opened it up.   I need you guys to replace it.

Not satisfied with it. Dumbbell damaged.

No longer stable after just one (barely) drop onto padded floor. 
Overall they felt great for the first few months of using them. knurling was fine, I don't personally LOVE the ergo grip style but $70 for each dumbbell was a solid deal and I jumped at it. 
The first time I ever even slightly roughly set them down, like I swung it into its spot under the rack (like a 4 inch "toss") and something broke inside and it's got movement and wobbles when picking it up. 
It still holds together so I can technically use it but there's definitely a quality issue.

Bad quality - dropped 4" and uneven now.

it serves the purpose of a 60lb dumbbell well. But it stinks horribly. That might not bother me as much, if I didn't understand that the smell is coming from horrible chemicals that are off gassing in my workout room. I have to carry them back and forth from outside to keep my whole house from being filled with cancer causing chemical vapors. I am currently trying round 3 of efforts to clean and accelerate the off gassing, but so far it has made no difference.
