I purchased Caron Simply Soft to make a rainbow-hued cross-body bag for myself. Love it. It worked up quickly, has a nice feel, colors pop. Couldn’t find the colors I wanted in a worsted weight, so went with a finer yarn & crocheted with a double strand. Perfect! Love the easy-start, no need to go searching in the middle of the skein!

I always use CARON Simply Soft for baby gifts.  It is incredibly soft, very easy to knit (or crochet) with and is machine wash, tumble dry.  What new Mom has time, energy or space to hand wash, dry flat?

Perfect for baby gifts

Caron Simply Soft is my favourite yarn to knit with.  It’s beautiful to work with and the colours are so rich.  End products are gorgeous and easy to care for.   Love it!

Beautiful Yarn!

This yarn is extremely soft and has a nice sheen to it. The stitch definition is beautiful. It does have a tendency to split while working with it however, it really isn’t anything to worry about.

It’s Simply Perfect

LOVE this yarn

Space I have been asked to make four different baby blankets. I am very happy. I found this website with this yard. It’s the most easiest soft feeling yarn I can ever explain.

Amazing yarn to crochet with

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this yarn it's the highest quality 100% acrylic out there! It does split so you have to have patience but that's because is a looser twisted yarn.

I'm in 💕 love, caron simply 💯

This yarn is wonderfully soft, shows amazing stitch definition and doesn't split on my hook easily. The color is beautifully saturated and it has a subtle shine when it is worked up that my son just loves. For this I give it 4 stars because I did have some issues with the yarn not being evenly spun. In some areas the yarn is thicker, knotted looking and cannot be worked into the piece I am making. I have to cut and tie the yarn to make it work. Since I am making a sweater out of the yarn this is concerning, but workable. So far I am finding that this problem is very limited and the unusable yarn is very short pieces so I would still recommend the yarn. 

I have not had any tied ends in the skeins which is nice. This yarn does like to stick to itself a bit but I found this to be true more after having to frog a piece than when I used my yarn winder on the skein.

This is not a skein of yarn that is friendly to winding as the inside end of the skein is buried and the skein has to be eviscerated to reach it leading to a fight with unwinding a small ball of inside yarn....and can lead to some snarls. I was prepared for this so, for me, it's not a terrible issue that will cause me not to use the yarn again or not recommend it to a fellow crafter/maker.

All in all, for workability, softness, price point, and gorgeous color this is a solid 4 star work horse type of yarn that I will continue to use in future projects. It takes a hit for having unusable areas of yarn that should have been caught by quality control and some minor winding issues.

Really Soft!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to make a baby blanket. I’ve been looking for that super soft yarn for a baby, and this is it! It’s not scratchy, even silky. It does split a bit while crocheting, so you have to pay attention, but other than that I love it. And the color (orchid) is so delicate and lovely, just what I hoped!

Best baby blanket yarn!

Very soft… the yarn is very stretchy. Sometimes this quality makes your work look like you've missed or added stitches.  Also, the yarn splits easily if your hook is not inserted perfectly. 
I would still recommend, because it's a good value and the yarn is especially good for baby blankets because of its softness.

The texture is too thin. When I went to undo some of my crochet, The yarn stuck together so bad I had to throw my project away.  I a. sticking with RedHeart from now on if I can.
