When opening our pool for the 7th consecutive season was I surprised when, after making all the connections the filter wouldn't turn on! i immediately searched for a pump and Walmart was the winner. This filter is an exact replacement with an improved flow rate. The old filter pushed 1,000 GPM and this one is now 1,500 GPM. A lateral "plug and play" situation. All is better now AND I chose a 2 year warranty for only $15.

Excellent Choice Intext Pool Filter

This intex pool pump was a game changer compared to one , that came with the  Bestway 20x12x48 pool. We bought the pool about 2yrs ago and had so many problems with our water. But, not know with this intex pool pump our water stay crystal clear. Just wished we bought it sooner!!! Oh and im not getting paid to say this either!!!

No regrets, worth the money!!!

Just purchased this 1500gph unit a few weeks ago.  So far, We are very happy the way it has been running and cleaning our 14' X 42" 3600 gallon intex pool. We have noticed the clarity is better.  Puts out much more filtered water over the 1000 gph cartridge filter that drops down once the cartridge starts gets clogged, that came with the pool.  Much easier to clean the sand filter and a whole lot less mess that always happened with the cartridge filter that came with the pool.  We opted for the model without the skimmer because we don't have trees around.  Happy with this purchase.

Pay attention,
Was looking for sand filter / saltwater generator system and clicked the smaller filter in the options, I overlooked the fact they had just filters in the options with filter/generator options.
Bad options layout, works pretty well though, super easy setup. Pressure gauge placement is awkward being in the back which I see as a design flaw at least from an aesthetics standpoint, hard to keep things neat and tidy when setting up when you need to view 360 degrees of the unit.

Pay attention

Purchased two years ago and used for two seasons. At the start of this season the pump stopped working. So I purchased a new one. When the pump runs it works well. The new pump set arrived but the tank is misshapen so does not make a tight seal. Needed to use the old tank to get the system working. Attempted to send a comment to the company but the online form kept crashing so I am now just posting a slightly negative review.

Pump and Tank issues.

Make sure you check to see what you do and don't have if you don't have the right hose that you have to buy them. If you don't have the right link, you have to buy them and you have to buy sand with this. It doesn't come with anything so make sure when you order this that you also order everything you need for your specific pool.

very upset have only had it going since end of May and now keeps turning off and on isn't doing its job at all was at first but now not sure and not even been used a whole month

Takes some setup to get it prepared and settled, but the payoff is worth it. Crystal clear water in a 2900 gallon pool without having to change filters.
