Amazing pump, so quiet and very powerful. I bought this pump to replace my old one that sounded like a motorcycle, it was so loud. This pump is smaller but works much better and I just can't get over the fact how quiet it is. I didn't know it was even possible.  Amazing!

Bought this pump for my soft sided pool. A bit stronger than required,  but no issues from that. Putting together the pump setup wasn't difficult.  I did have to buy different hoses and connectors,  but that's because my pool isn't an Intex. I just installed this today, 7/24/2025, if there are any issues I'll come back and update my review.

Powerful pump!

This filter was easy for me to setup,but i have set up several filters through the years. The power is good for my 7000 gallon pool,but do not think it would be enough power for a 10000 gallon pool. I set mine to run 11 hours at a time.

AWESOME GOING DIRECT!

New to pool ownership and maintenance. We have a Coleman Powersteel 18 foot pool from Walmart and while it is a very well-made pool, the filter is just too small. We found this filter for $150 and what a difference it has made in keeping the pool clean! You can see it working. I still skim it just about every day and brush it weekly and the pool looks fantastic and chemicals seem to last longer. It is quiet and I love the timer. I run it about 6 hours everyday. I would not hesitate on getting this filter. You will need a 50lb bag of pool sand from the hardware store. Costs less than $15.

Just what you need!

This sand filter pump has only been installed for 5 days at the time of this review. So far everything is working as expected. This replaced a larger one which had a llife span of 6 yrs. It seems to be just as effective as the previous one.  This filter, however, is much quieter.  The digital controls are  a big plus as well.

Effective-Quiet-Easy to Use

I bought this for an above ground grey prism 15'x48" pool. Quality is good. Assembly is decent. I'd recommend to read the instructions. I did have to build a platform as its home base. I do recommend to secure the tank base with the pre-filter housing. The pre-filter housing is top heavy. I didn't anticipate that so I propped it up with pavers and pieces of plywood. The instructions mention it, but as a law in other countries, not as an issue with the pre-filter housing. I'd recommend to have an extra hose for the backwash connection. This is my first year. Talk to me in 2 more years.

Good So Far - But Durability Is To Be Seen

Hole in hose but already had set up with sand and didn't want to do the work to return. They could send a hose to replace but gave a small refund that doesn't cover the cost of a new one.

THIS DOES NOT COME with inlet / outlet valves and will have to be purchased seperate which i was unaware of!!! when i tried to order some from Intex they were discontinued!! Goo g to check my local pool store and if they dont have any i will be returning this filter!!!

mislead

We plugged this in, it didn't work.  We ended up having to take the whole GFI unit out of our old pump and replace it.  That fixed it.  We contacted the company with no answer back.

Didn't Work--GFI plug was Broke!!!!
