I'm 6'1" and I weigh 300lbs: it holds me up fine. I prefer the chair without the wheels because I have had drafting table chairs before and they break due to my weight. Came faster than expected! The chair was simple to assemble. I do not have much use for the adjust feature due to my height. At times I do use the height adjust for fun and it still holds me up just fine. Worth the investment, I plan to keep this chair for years along with my current drafting table.

I have the red toaster,microwave oven and slowcooker.everything just matches perfect.the chairs are very comfortable,easy to put together and looks very expensive and classy.everyone thinks I paid a fortune for them,I have them in my kitchen at the island. highly recommend this item A+++++.

I was extremely impressed by the quaility of this
bar stool ... had shop many furniture stores around
until i came across this great looking buy....
Easy to assemble..... have since recommended it
to freinds... they too are interested in ordering them.

What a STOOL of a DEAL!

I have three of the desk models also. They are lower and have wheels. They actually accent the rooms they are in. This particular chair is in my bathroom. I have a bad back and have to sit down to brush my teeth or shave. This chair is so comfortable and I don't have to move it as it swirls like a bar stool.

Nice chair

I was surprisingly pleased by this chair. It's just about high enough for my needs and actually pretty comfortable. If there's a downside it's that the lift sinks a few inches under my weight but a small stand was enough to make it high enough to maintain a standing height even when sitting. I wouldn't risk leaning back on it too often or too hard as it made of plastic and a cheaper metal but since most of the professional chairs in that do this cost several hundred to half a grand this is a really good chair for the price.

If you lean over, the seat will crack between the front edge and the hole near the front on the side you put weight upon. The rest of the features (swivel, hydraulic up/down, 5-leg stability, backrest, fit and finish) are all top-notch. I repaired the cracked seat with a piece of strap steel under the seat and a few pop rivets and now it's fine. Were I to buy another, I'd apply the steel and pop rivets before use.

Seat is not strong, so sit up straight!

I was looking to use this item for a standing desk. I was very disappointed that when I sat on the seat it would lower by ~4 inches. I weight 195lbs. It seams that the cylinder that supports the weight of the user is weak from the start... I can only imagine that this will get worse with time. 

As a side note (this has nothing to do with the 3 starts). Know that this seat is plastic. 

If you're looking to use this stool for a low height application it may be acceptable. If you want it to support weight at it's highest height setting, you're out of luck.

Pretty poor

The maximum usable height is not actually 31.25". The gas cartridge compresses a bit under weight. Under my 190 pound body, its actual maximum height is around 29 inches.

A bigger issue is that the seat is poorly designed and forces my knees together. A real tractor seat allows you to splay your legs a bit, but not this one.

I'll be taking this chair back for a refund.

Shorter than stated, narrower than expected

I was very disappointed in this product. The chrome finish was already chipping on the bottom frame when the product came out of the box. The screw at the base of the seat stripped out the first time I sat on it, and I'm not a heavy person. The back is not stable, but shifts easily and squeeks. Overall, this was a waste of money.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!

I purchased this item based on the description and felt that it suited my needs for its intended purpose. I was pleased to order the chair and was excited to have it arrive. When I went to the store to pick up the chair, it was brought to me and opened to assure that it was what I had ordered. Upon inspection I noticed that parts of the chair were scratched and another part was cracked, rendering the chair useless. I was given a refund and purchased a chair to my liking from a competitor.
