Usually, it's quite good, but I bought my usual red, and as I was putting it on my hair, it began turning a charcoal gray. I knew that was wrong, so I got it out as fast as I could. By the time I was done, the gloves and bottle were jet black. Does not inspire confidence, and I am NOT too happy right now.

I enjoy this product and have used it many times with natural results. Only problem was it would over lighten certain area, I would have strands of almost white hair. Its a great product, my hair didn't feel as thrashed after using it but it's pretty potent. I think it's great just not for me, I don't know why it over whitens certian strands. I think its me and not the product. I do LOVE Preference hair color. Haven't hade any trouble with It.

It's been about 20 years since I colored my hair myself, so I was looking for haircolor that is no drip or mess. I purchased Excellence Creme in black about 3 months ago to cover the ever increasing gray that's in my hair. It was great. Easy to use, do drip or mess and complete coverage. My hair was soft and shiny. I plan on using it again as my gray roots are coming in.

Was having the salon color my hair to hide some grey that was coming in. Decided to try this product. It definitely covers the gray better than the salon; actually you cannot see ANY gray. And, the color is much richer and more natural looking than the salon. 100% gray is truthful advertising. This product, in every respect is FAR better than the salon, at a fraction of the cost. The salon will NEVER color my hair again; I'm buying this product from now on.

I hope this product never gets discontinued. The 01 Extra light natural ash blonde color is the best if you want extra light. This results of this product is equal to what a professional color expert would do. It is a one step process that gets your hair as light as a 2 step process. Many compliments on my hair, never brassy, looks professionally done.

I’m a brunette and i wanted to dye my hair a little bit lighter and I was recommended the color 7.1. In the advertisement of this hair dye clearly said that it doesn’t turn your hair red, but that’s what exactly what it did to my hair which was so unexpected. I ended up being a ginger instead of having light brown hair. The good thing is that at least I don’t feel like it destroyed my hair. I kind of like the color, but that’s not what I wanted

This is by far the best Loreal haircolor if you don't want brassy, red, gold tones !! I love it , I personally love the ash blonde. I could not achieve this beautiful color with the regular excellence or preference. I am very happy with this ash blonde. :) It covers my little grays well too. LOVE IT !!!!

Old favorite but no longer. I have dark blonde hair. I bought light ash blonde 9a. It says it lightens up to 2 shades. But it did nothing but tone my hair to an ashy color. I did not lift at all! I used to use this product a couple years ago, I’m not sure if it changed. But I’m disappointed I put my hair through that for no reason.

never never never never use this again i want my money back now and it wont let me post cuz it knows its a bad review. target in kokomo indiana needs to have my money back or someone needs to call and have two boxes of color that really works cuz my hair color is still the same YAY.

I just used this product and my hair turned out very dark brown. How would you ever think that if it says "Blond" that it would end up way to dark. Be very careful. I had been using a #6 and was wanting to go lighter, so picked the 7BB. I wanted to provide feedback to mgmt. but can't find a customer service button to respond directly to L'Oreal. Don't know what I will do next.
